At a dinner engagement, all dressed up and in heels, I brought my small travel set up so I could capture the scene en plein air on a 4" x 4" panel in oil. Back in the studio I created the 36" x 36" version you see here today.
The saturation on my computer screen seems a bit high- the blues in the piece are not as vivid. Look at the Oct. Nov. 2014 issue of Fine Art Connoisseur to see an accurate rendition.
