This particular day I decided to spend time with my favorite colors. I was influenced by a new work of art I had just acquired for my own collection by artist, Stephen Cimini. When I looked at his painting, I would simply feel good. It made sense to me that if I made a painting of all my favorite colors, I might feel great each time I viewed it. So this day I set out to play with color. Carefully I measured out 20 sqaures on a 24" x 18" canvas with a pencil and ruler and then proceeded to paint.
The squares didn't quite feel right after filling each block so I added circles to most of the squares.
By the end of the day I felt so content. Yes, it took me all day adjusting and fine tuning each square so it felt perfect within my belly.
Happily I hung the finished oil painting on the wall and stepped back to take it all in. Then something weird happened that surprised me and made me run out of the studio.

Each block of color "popped" out of the canvas. Each color block came forward about an inch and simultaneously a musical note was produced from the musical scale.
I heard a different note for each color.
After making a phone call I was told it sounded like synesthesia
and was advised to look it up on the internet.

Since then my colors are more intense. Now, when I paint, I associate each color with a certain vibration. The work of art must make me feel a certain way for it to be completed.
There are a few works of art that seem to have a surpernatural experience attached to them that have taken my work to new heights. This is one of them.
None of them are for sale. If they were... they would be in the 6 figures. I'll talk about some of the other pieces another day that changed how I view art, my life and the world.
