30 Day Fear Cleanse - Day Four

                        30 Days to Courage

Audre Lorde stated "When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid."

When you have a clear vision, passion and determination, your fears go in the background. Yet, when you have any doubt or confusion your fears come into play.  Finding the basis for fears help to keep them at bay.

Today if you accept this challenge, you will discover how to go deeper into the reason you have this fear you drew out yesterday.

What really is going on in your mind?
How do you get past the mind when your emotions get the best of you?

Step one.

*Take the drawing from yesterday.
*Lay it on the table in front of you and place a blank sheet of computer paper next to it and grab some sciccors and a glue stick or tape.
*Find a magazine (newspaper will do) that you can tear up.
* Look through the magazine and look for any image (a few words are ok) that resonate or relate to the image. Here is the thing, feel the relationship in your gut and not your head. As you look through the magazines, trust when something pulls you. Cut it out and lay it aside. Then when you have a few things, place it on the blank page where it feels right. The mind is not that helpful in this exercise where as your intuition is. Trust you can do this.
* When it feels finished, stop.

This is a sample that relates to one of my past fears.
It is not supposed to be a work of art.

Step two.

Decode:

What does it look and feel like you drew? Write down the following. Answer all the questions.
It seems that I drew......
It looks more like......
It makes sense that I drew.....
It is interesting that I drew.....
I now get that I drew....

What do you see?
Are you awed by the images that come from your drawing?
What can you do to override the inner thoughts?
Many things. Tomorrow learn how to develop a new perception.
